Confronting Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
Do you need an Oklahoma workplace harassment attorney? I’m Oklahoma City employment law attorney Colby Addison and we are discussing that very topic. As an employee, you are protected from certain workplace harassment. However, there’s no law against bad bosses.
There are laws to protect you from bosses that create a work environment that’s hostile if it’s based on certain criteria. So it’s important to know your legal rights when it comes to standing up for the workplace harassment that’s occurring in the workplace and whether or not it is an unlawful form of harassment.
Being treated differently in the workplace, that is considered hostile, would be unlawful if you are being treated differently in the workplace because of your age, your sex, your color, your race, your national origin, disability, pregnancy, sexual orientation, or you’re being subject to some sort of retaliatory conduct that is interfering with your ability to do your job.
If you feel like you have questions on whether or not your workplace environment is considered hostile or falls into any of these categories, please reach out to us. If you have any questions about this, or any other Oklahoma employment rights topics, contact my office at oklahomaworkersrights.com.
